Manufacturing Month launches annually on the first Friday in October (MFG Day), with events that continue throughout the month. This month-long celebration illustrates the reality of modern manufacturing careers by encouraging thousands of companies and educational institutions around the nation to open their doors to students and their families, educators, and community leaders. Manufacturers come together to address their collective challenges so they can help their communities and future generations thrive. MFG Day

Modern Manufacturing Work-Study: Now recruiting for the 2021 and 2022 cohorts of the MMWS program at Columbus State Community College!

Interested students can submit a Request for Information Form.

Manufacturers are embracing sophisticated technology to enhance efficiency and production, including state-of-the-art software, automation, and robotics.

The Modern Manufacturing Work-Study Program (MMWS) at Columbus State combines classroom and lab-learning with the opportunity for a paid work-study position with a local employer. Work-study participants earn an average of $18/hour, helping them graduate debt-free.
